I quickly reached my hand into the hat feeling something crawl onto my hand I pulled it out quickly to see a spider it was small and cute I stared at it for a second then lifted my hand showing it to the room of awaiting males. I was one of the prettiest at least that's what everyone kept telling me but I didn't really believe them because I always thought of myself as ugly and fat compared to all the girls around me. I had also developed a crush on a certain bug loving teen who just so happened to be standing up at the sight of the spider which made a blush flair to my face I quickly went to the closet not saying a word. Then again me not talking was normal I was always quiet letting others choose what they want to do and I never really asked to do something for myself since I volunteered most of my time to others.
As we entered the closet Sakura the only one that knew about my crush closed the door saying, "One hour you two."
Then we were engulfed in darkness I never really liked the dark it scared me because of my past...I had been kept in a dark dank basement never allowed to go from there and I was beaten daily. I quickly went to a wall leaning against it when all of a sudden fireflys were floating around me lighting the dark room.
"I know you don't like the dark," was all Shino said before becoming silent again.
"Thank you Shino. So...um...what do you want to do in here?" I asked blushing at how shy my voice sounded because whenever I would talk normally on the rare occasions I would be as loud as Naruto.
"I was actually wondering if you would let me try something quick," he said just as shyly.
"Sure," I said smiling softly.
Suddenly I felt his lips on mine I hadn't even seen him coming toward me but I guess that's what he wanted. When he was about to part from my lips I slipped my arms around his neck while kissing him back. We both pulled apart reluctantly for a little something called air.
"I like you _____," he said smiling at me sweetly.
I couldn't look away from his eyes they were a chocolate brown so deep in their depths that I thought I would actually drown in them. I quietly said, "I like you too Shino."
"Good I'm glad," he said smiling softly down at my still blushing form.
For the rest of the time we talked while playing with the fireflies and spider that I had gotten out of the bag. We exchanged chaste kisses that showed our tender love towards each other. Then just when the door opened I was giving him a kiss enjoying the taste of his lips.
"Alright love birds out of the closet the next couple wants in," Sakura said smirking down at us.
We pulled apart and Shino pulled me to my feet taking my hand in his he dragged us out to Sakura's huge backyard and it was filled with different plants with bugs hiding in their leaves. I felt Shino let go of my hand and I walked up to a hanging plant it truly had perfect balance between all the different colors I loved it. I looked back to Shino to see that he had the fireflies spell out 'I love you _____' I gasped and ran up to him giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"I love you too," I said staring into his eyes almost losing myself again. Then I said, "I understand why you where those glasses your eyes can be very distracting."
